Details:

  • We work together to pick dates that work for both of us.

  • Classes can have up to 1- 4 students. 

  • Studio hours 9 or 10 am to 4 or 5 pm with a lunch break midday. 

  • I do not provide lunch or snacks.  

  • Depending on the class you choose determines the number of minimum days. See below for more specifics. 

  • The last hour of class will include a presentation of class work and a critique by me if desired. 

  • $125.00 per day, per student.  Half due at booking, half 30 days prior to class. I do not offer refunds if you have to cancel. If I have to cancel I will offer a complete refund. 

 

 

Improv Piecing Class   

 

1-3 day options

Limit to 4 students, bring your own supplies, machines, and fabrics. 

 

Each student should bring to class; 

  • Sewing machine in good working order

  • Needles / bobbins - filled  / neutral thread  

  • Small cutting mat 

  • Rotary cutter and blades

  • Scissors/thread/ruler 

  • Straight pins (lots of them) long and sharp. 

  • 36”x 70” Batting/Flannel (white) 

  • Sketchbook/pens/other supplies you want

 

Fabric

1/2 to 1 yard of assortment fabrics, mostly solids, not fat quarters if possible. Have a range of values (light, medium light, medium, medium dark, and dark) of the same color where possible, and bring as many colors as you can.  You will be composing a multi-colored piece.  

Also, bring some of your favorite scraps to possibly add in.
