100 Day Challenges...
In January of 2018, one of my goals was to create art for 100 days to improve my art practice. I accomplished my goal, and have kept going with these small, approximately 4" square studies. Another textile artist friend Liz Kettle started doing these a few years ago and I was so inspired by her, she calls them Stitch Meditations. Each of my pieces has a story, and I incorporate hand-dyed, painted or printed silk or cotton in many of them. All stitching is done with intention by hand in a slow, calm meditative process.
